Your enrollment checklist
Follow these steps to take ownership of your future and to enroll for benefits during Annual Enrollment November 1–15, 2024. Your benefits selections will be effective January 1, 2025.
Explore
- Explore what’s new and changing for 2025.
- Let the pros at the BCBS Decision Support Hotline help you compare your medical plan options and help you decide which plan is right for you. Call 800-358-2227, option 3.
Review
- Go to Workday to see your current elections. Ask yourself: Has my health status changed? Am I covering the right family members? Have I experienced a life event? Is my beneficiary information up to date?
- Do the math. To help you decide which medical plan works best for you, list all your medical costs for 2024, including doctor visits and prescription drug copays, coinsurance, your deductible, and your premiums. Look at how each of the 2025 medical plans covers those same expenses.
- Participating in a health savings account (HSA)? You need to enroll every year during Annual Enrollment.
- If you want to participate in a flexible spending account, you need to enroll every year during Annual Enrollment. Estimate your 2025 expenses carefully before electing the amount of your contribution. You’ll forfeit any funds above $640 if not spent.
- Review your short-term disability, long-term disability, and life and AD&D insurance coverages. Don’t forget to verify your beneficiaries to make sure they’re up to date.
Enroll
- Choose or confirm your medical, dental, and vision plans for 2025.
- Make any election updates, and confirm your 2025 selections by November 15, 2024.
- Go to Workday to make enrollment updates.
- After you enroll, download a pdf confirmation statement that lists your benefits choices.
